Location: Virtual (Michigan candidates only. Must be available for occasional on-site meetings.)
Pay Range: $70,000 – $90,000

Position Overview:
As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting while maintaining compliance with regulations. You will manage key accounting functions related to revenue, payments, reconciliation, insurance, financial management, and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial reporting, maintaining the chart of accounts and ensuring the General Ledger is accurate for the organization (Sage Intacct).
  • Support internal bank compliance and facilitate annual reviewed GAAP financial statements and tax obligations with our external CPA firm.
  • Manage and renew corporate insurance policies and insurance related matters.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, customers, and external professionals on accounting matters.
  • Reconcile company bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare workpapers for CPA-audited financial statements and conduct insurance audits.
  • Assist in budget oversight, monthly results analysis, and forecasting.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with supporting schedules.
  • Manage transactions related to bank, credit card, and fuel accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and expense allocations.
  • Document and monitor internal controls, identifying discrepancies and making necessary corrections.
  • Interface with Human Resources for payroll changes and charge code structure.
  • Coordinate complex accounting projects within the accounting and finance teams.
  • File year-end 1099 forms
  • Lead Sage Intacct integration with other teams.
  • Assist the CFO with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Sage or other ERP accounting software.
  • Telecom experience is a plus but not required.
