Key Responsibilities

Team Structure and Management:

  • Oversee a team of 5-7 sales members focused on SMB and enterprise clients in Michigan.
  • Provide leadership and support to ensure team cohesion and productivity.

Sales Metrics and Performance:

  • Help each team member reach and exceed their monthly new revenue goals.
  • Monitor individual and team sales performance, providing insights and guidance to improve results.
  • Assist team members in understanding their sales funnels and identifying what is needed to ensure success.

Sales Process Adherence:

  • Ensure that the sales team follows the established sales process.
  • Provide coaching and feedback during field activities and meetings to improve adherence to the sales process.

Training and Development:

  • Responsible for the training and development of sales team members, focusing on internal systems (e.g., CRM) and industry expertise.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and provide ongoing support to enhance team members’ skills and knowledge.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Marketing to coordinate on collateral, events, and other needs.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Sales Support, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and support for the sales team.

Reporting and Feedback:

  • Report directly to the VP of Direct Sales.
  • Provide active, real-time feedback to team members rather than relying on formal measurement metrics.

Sales Strategy Execution:

  • Encourage open communication and regular feedback sessions to address any issues and support continuous improvement.
  • Play a key role in executing the sales strategy and providing input on the overall direction of the team.
  • Participate in strategy meetings and contribute valuable insights to shape the team’s approach and goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a management or leadership role, preferably within a sales environment.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies with the flexibility to adapt to 123NET’s specific approach.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a sales team effectively.
  • Experience in providing coaching and feedback to improve team performance.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Ability to understand and address the needs and concerns of team members and clients.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, CRM systems, and SQL is a huge plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • High level of adaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities.
