123.Net, LLC. (123NET) is Michigan’s Fiber Internet Service Provider. The company is privately held and headquartered in Southfield, Michigan. The company delivers high-quality fiber internet, colocation, and business voice services. Moreover, in 2021, 123NET began offering the fastest fiber-to-the-home solutions to Michigan residents.

For 25 years, 123NET has invested in Michigan’s infrastructure. They’ve partnered with communities and carriers to enhance fiber networks. This connects businesses, residents, and communities throughout the state.

Our Social Mission & Core Values

123NET is building a better internet for Michigan. By opening up 123NET’s Network to other carriers in a carrier-neutral open-access approach, competition is significantly enhanced for internet services in Michigan. This strategy not only provides consumers with a broader range of high-quality, cost-effective service options but also drives carriers to innovate and offer competitive prices. The connectivity problem within Michigan is vast, and we are not able to do this alone. By choosing 123NET, clients, partners, and other carriers are supporting a Michigan-first company that is passionate about improving connectivity throughout the state. Together, we are working to make Michigan the best connected on the planet.

Company Vision

Growth and Connectivity in Michigan

As Michigan’s Fiber Internet Service Provider, our vision is to champion growth, innovation, and opportunities tailored explicitly for Michigan businesses. They aim to make Michigan the best connected through reliable data centers and networks. Their services meet Michigan’s rising internet demands. Committed to stability, 123NET supports the state’s digital innovation and growth.

Empowering the Internet Exchange

Our company supports Detroit and Grand Rapids Internet Exchanges in Michigan. DET-iX, a major global peering hub, offers clients speed and cost benefits. The DET-iX is expected to maintain a growth rate of 25-30 percent annually, providing significant speed and cost benefits to clients.

Promotion of Open Access Network Systems

123NET promotes open-access networks for multiple providers. This ensures affordable internet for Michigan’s underserved areas, boosting the state’s economy. “Open access” means fair wholesale network access.

Environmental and Social Responsibility

123NET recognizes the need to operate in an environmentally sustainable and socially responsible manner. Energy-efficient data centers have been implemented to reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption. Additionally, telecommuting and remote work options are promoted to decrease commuting emissions.

Community Engagement and Ethical Practices

Our commitment extends to providing high-quality, affordable internet access to underserved and low-income communities. Partnerships with non-profits and community organizations are forged to promote digital literacy and inclusion. Fair and ethical treatment of all employees, contractors, and business partners is ensured.

Adherence to Laws and Ethical Standards

In line with our commitment to ethical business practices, 123NET adheres to all relevant laws and regulations. We implement strong cybersecurity measures to protect customer data and privacy. We foster transparency and accountability through regular communication with our customers, employees, and partners. Operational Excellence with EOS

At 123NET, we follow the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to streamline our operations and increase efficiency. Committing to following the EOS system, we have created a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement, enabling us to achieve long-term success in the competitive telecommunications industry.

Our Community Impact

As Michigan’s Fiber Internet Service Provider, 123NET’s primary goal is to empower Michigan’s communities, transforming the internet narrative from mere consumption to active creation. This starts by partnering with local communities and non-profit organizations, such as the Detroit Community Technology Project, Equitable Internet Initiative, and Grace in Action Collective, to understand the community’s true needs and how 123NET can help. We have donated multiple circuits to non-profits, local organizations, and COVID-19 Testing Sites and continue to look for additional ways to make an impact.

123NET also commits to providing residential fiber directly to homes, connecting Michigan communities and enabling them to flourish in an increasingly connected world. High-speed internet services connect communities more effectively, letting individuals easily access education, remote work, and telehealth services.

In addition to our partnerships with non-profits and local organizations, 123NET is partnering with municipalities and governments to provide community-wide solutions to bridge the digital divide. As government funding for broadband infrastructure becomes more widespread and available, 123NET is committed to leveraging these resources to help connect Michigan’s underserved and unserved areas. A recent example of this is our partnership with Allegan County, where we will provide internet access to over 12,000 residents and build over 1,000 miles of fiber in rural areas. By working with local governments, we can help bring high-speed internet to more communities and help bridge the digital divide for Michigan residents.
